To facilitate the operations of draining the oil and replacing the relative filter, it is advisable to raise the car on a lift. The drain plug of the oil sump is located in the rear part of the sump in the central position: then unscrew the cap collecting the used oil in a suitable tray and, once emptying is completed, tighten it carefully; the filter is instead located in front of the oil pan: unscrew it to be able to remove it and apply oil to the gasket of the new one before installing it (it is sufficient to tighten it manually). Finally, fill the engine with new oil.

How do you replace the battery of the BMW R 1250 GS?

In order to replace the battery of the BMW R 1250 GS it is necessary to loosen the bolts that secure the casing positioned on the left side of the bike, so that its cover can be removed. Once this has been removed, you will be able to access the components below, including the battery. The latter must be removed from its housing by disconnecting the power cables and unscrewing the appropriate fixing bolts. In this way it will be possible to insert a new battery, properly fixing it and connecting it to the relative cables, covering everything with the casing.
