As seen in this tutorial, removing the EGR valve on the Ford Ranger pickup is a very simple and quick operation. First, to work safely, ensure the engine is completely cold, then open the bonnet and start by applying some penetrating spray to the various fasteners of the valve. Next, use an adjustable spanner to unscrew the nut of the small exhaust pipe and unscrew the two bolts indicated with a 10mm socket. Once the old valve is removed from the engine, insert the replacement valve along with a new gasket.
