Replacement of the Starter Motor

At the first sign of trouble, it is better to change the starter motor rather than wait for it to fail completely, as a faulty starter motor usually cannot survive the winter. A faulty starter motor will no longer allow the engine to start. To change it, disconnect the negative terminal of the battery, identify its correct position, and locate the connections supplying power to the starter motor. Then, disconnect them and assess the various mounting points. Once done, you can remove the starter motor, trying to recover the mounting bracket on the back of the starter motor, which is not always supplied with the new one.
