Replacement of Cylinder Head Bolts

Model: Ford Focus MK 2, Focus 2 - Years 2004-2011

In this tutorial, the cylinder head bolts of a Ford Focus engine are replaced. First, measure the thread of the bolts using a thread gauge. Using a suitable socket, unscrew and remove the old bolts. Clean their housing with compressed air. After purchasing a new pack of ten cylinder head bolts, use the copper paste included in the kit to lubricate each bolt (as shown in the video) to prevent seizing. Once each bolt is inserted into its housing, ensure they are correctly tightened using a torque wrench.
