Replacing Car Brake Discs

Model: Ford Focus MK 1 - Years 1998-2004
Part: Brake rotors

Safety in a car is one of the essential conditions of a good braking system. With a few simple steps, you can change the car's brake discs yourself. The brake discs must have a minimum thickness, indicated in the car's manual. Therefore, it is good practice to periodically check that it has not been exceeded. If at least one is below the prescribed minimum, the discs must be replaced. Many car manufacturers recommend replacing the discs around 50,000 miles, and it is advisable to change the pads at the same time. First, turn the steering wheel to your side so that the brake caliper faces you. Lift the car with a jack and remove the wheel after taking off the wheel bolts. Use an Allen key to unscrew all the bolts that secure the caliper to the frame on the rear side. Then, you can slide off the brake caliper. At this point, only the caliper bracket with the brake pads inside will remain. Remove the pads using an appropriate flat screwdriver, taking care not to damage the disc. Next, unscrew the bolts that secure the bracket to the hub. This will leave only the brake disc, which will need to be replaced.

How to Replace Front Wiper Blades on Toyota Yaris

In this video, learn how to replace the front windscreen wiper blades on a Toyota Yaris. Take the front wiper blade with your hands, pull (as shown in the video) the movable blade and slide it off the arm on the left. Fit the new blade onto the arm (if the blade is not original, detach the piece as shown in the video), you will hear a click indicating it is secured. Finally, lower the wiper arm onto the windscreen and perform the same operation on the second blade. Test the new blades fitted earlier (activate the controls next to the steering wheel).
