To remove the rear bumper from the Ford Fusion, open the trunk to detach the seal around the trunk opening. Once the seal is removed, detach the black plastic cover by unscrewing the screws underneath that secure the taillights.

After the two taillights are disconnected and completely removed, unscrew their underlying screws, along with those located inside the rear wheel wells. Then, you can completely detach the bumper to install a new one.
