Replacing the Intake Manifold Gasket

Before applying the new gasket to the intake manifold, it is absolutely essential to thoroughly clean the gasket seating area, both on the cylinder head side and the manifold side: all dirt and deposits that could compromise the adhesion and thus the sealing of the gasket must be removed; after cleaning, place the new gasket in its seat aligning it with the dowel pins, then position the intake manifold and tighten the respective mounting nuts in a cross pattern using a torque wrench.
