How to Remove the Seatbelt

This short video tutorial shows the procedure for removing the seatbelt from a Ford Focus. For complete safety, it is recommended to disconnect the vehicle's battery before proceeding. Using a 15 mm socket wrench, unscrew and remove the bolt at the base of the seatbelt. Lift and remove the upper cover with a screwdriver. A bolt will be revealed that you need to unscrew with a T15 Torx key. Also remove the two screws that secure the central cover. Take off this cover as well. Release the metal clip that holds the seatbelt in place. With the T15 Torx key, unscrew the bolt at the bottom: this will be needed to extract the reel.
