Ford Focus - Video tutorial

Model: Ford Focus MK 3 - Years 2011-2018
Part: Rear bumper
Operation: Removing and replacing the rear bumper.

First of all unscrew the two screws that secure the bumper and which are located inside the fender (position at the bottom in the rear). In addition, unscrew the two screws on the side of the rear light block from the inside. Now remove the two clips securing the bottom / bottom bumper. We do this using a small plastic crowbar, using caution. Finally, we need to remove the left and right rear light block. To do this, we need to open the luggage compartment lid and, in correspondence with the headlights, remove the plasticized covers, rear and side, which allow access to the clips that secure the headlight block in place. Disconnect the cables and remove them. At the position of the headlights, unlock the bumper using a screwdriver and the bumper can be removed from its housing. To mount the new bumper, just follow the same operations but following the opposite procedure. The car on which the maintenance operation seen in the images is performed is a Ford Focus.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
