Let's see how to change the auxiliary belt on a Ford Focus MK1; first, lift the vehicle and support it on at least two axle stands to ensure it won't fall: this allows access to the V-belt, which you will remove by loosening the tensioner (which should be replaced anyway).

You can find the kit on eBay with code 403919433395 for just £18.00, including delivery.

Install the new tensioner and belt, following the video; thread the belt through the components as shown in the diagram. Start the engine to check everything is working correctly.

If all is well, lower the vehicle. Job done.
