How to Replace the Spark Plugs in Your Car

This guide shows how to change the spark plugs even for those with less experience. The spark plugs are crucial parts of the ignition system. Together with the coil, the rotor, the distributor, the condenser, and the timing, the spark plugs represent the ignition components of the internal combustion engine. Their job is to produce a spark capable of igniting the mixture compressed by the piston in the combustion chamber. They should be replaced every 12,500 miles. To change the spark plugs, first disconnect the high-tension leads that connect them to the distributor. Use the appropriate socket to unscrew the spark plugs. Before installing the new spark plugs, check the gap between the electrodes.
