Model: Ford Escort MK 4 - Years 1990-2000
Part: Spark plugs
Operation: How to replace the spark plugs in our car

The guide shows how to change candles even to less experienced people. Car spark plugs are very important parts of the ignition system. Together with the coil, the breaker, the distributor, the condenser and the spark plug spark plugs represent the ignition parts of the internal combustion engine. They have exactly the task of producing a spark capable of igniting the mixture compressed by the piston of the combustion chamber. They must be replaced every 20,000 km. To change the car spark plugs you will first have to disconnect the high voltage cables that connect them to the distributor. To unscrew the candles, use the appropriate wrench. Before installing the new spark plugs you need to check the gap between the electrodes.

First of all we open the front door, on the driver's side, and start pulling the opening lever of the engine hood, in order to open the lock; then let's move to the front of the vehicle and unhook the tab that we find on the central part, above the manufacturer's emblem, as shown in the video. At this point we block the bonnet with the lateral rod; then we accompany the bonnet down to close it again!
