How to Disable the Passenger Airbag on Ford Vehicles

Temporarily disabling the passenger airbag on Ford vehicles is a simple and quick operation. To disable the airbag, insert the ignition key into the lock located inside the glove compartment on the passenger side or into the lock on the end of the dashboard on the passenger side. This will deactivate the safety system; to reactivate it, perform the same step. The system should only be disabled when transporting a child seat in the front right seat.
