In this video, we will see how to reset the oil light on the 2008 Ford Explorer. This procedure is necessary if the light remains on after changing the oil. It is very simple and takes less than 1 minute.

To perform the reset, first, turn on the instrument cluster, then press the reset button on the cluster and scroll to the setup menu option. Once on the setup menu option, press and hold the button to confirm; this will open the menu.

Press the button to scroll to the oil option, once located, press and hold the button for about 4 seconds. After the reset, restart the cluster to verify that the reset was successful.
