In this video, you can see where the high-pressure fuel pump is located in the Ford Explorer and how to proceed if you need to replace it, a very simple and quick operation. As shown, the pump is positioned in the upper front area of the engine, just above the injectors.

Before replacing it, ensure the engine is cool enough, then remove the cover and disconnect the various hoses connected to it. Next, undo the two securing bolts with a Torx T45 spanner, extract the pump from the housing, and fit the replacement.
