How do you replace the timing belt of the Ford Escape?

In order to replace the timing belt of the Ford Escape, you need to loosen the screws that secure the side cover of the engine block, so that you can access the underlying components: here you will be able to locate the belt, which can be removed by reducing its tension. To do this, you will need to loosen the central nut of the tensioner pulley, removing it completely from its seat: this way, the old belt can be completely removed, and the new one can be inserted and tensioned by reinstalling the tensioner pulley.
