Where is and how do you reach the fuse box of a Ford Escape?

The fuse box of a Ford Escape is located in the engine compartment. To access it, start by turning off the engine and making sure the vehicle is safely parked. Lift the hood using the release lever located inside the vehicle, usually near the left side of the dashboard. Once the hood is lifted, locate the fuse box which is generally on the side of the engine compartment, near the battery or fender. The fuse box is covered by a plastic cover. To remove this cover, you may need to release some securing clips or press side hooks. Carefully lift the cover to expose the fuses inside. On the underside of the cover, you should find a diagram indicating the position and function of each fuse, making it easier to identify which one you need to check or replace. If you need to replace a fuse, make sure you have a spare fuse of the same amperage on hand. Once the operation is complete, put the fuse box cover back in place, making sure it is securely fastened to prevent dirt or moisture from entering. By carefully lowering the hood, you can conclude the process.
