In this video, we can see how to reset the service on a Ford S-Max MK1; start by closing all the vehicle doors, then turn on the instrument cluster and press and hold the brake and accelerator pedals simultaneously for about fifteen seconds. Meanwhile, the maintenance light should turn off. If this does not happen, press the OK button located in the centre of the controls to the right of the steering wheel.

Now, you can release the pedals and turn off the instrument cluster. Turn the cluster back on after a moment to check that everything is in order.
