In the following guide, we will discover how to correctly replace the battery inside the key of your GMC Sierra Mk5. First of all, make sure you have a new CR2032 button battery and a flathead screwdriver available. Then, take the key and hold down the button located on the side of the cover to remove the emergency key. Once the physical emergency key is removed, use the flathead screwdriver to disassemble the battery holder and proceed with replacing the old battery with the new one.
