In this video, we see how to change the battery on a GMC Sierra/Chevy Silverado and many other vehicles from the same brands. First, we need to remove this metal safety bar, then we remove the cover on the battery, disconnect the negative pole, and then the positive pole and the electrical connection cable and the fuses that are physically located above the battery. Then, we remove the base bolt. We clean the cavity where the battery was placed from the dirt that had accumulated and replace it with the new one. We reconnect the fixing bolt, put the fuse box back on top, connect the electrical connection cable, and reconnect the positive and negative poles, and the plastic cover. We can also put the protective bar back in place.
