How to Change the Oil in a GMC Sierra

Model: GMC Sierra MK 4 - Years 2014-2018

Before you start changing the oil in this vehicle, make sure to turn off the engine and/or let it cool down for a sufficient amount of time. Then, lift the truck using appropriate tools and locate the oil pan in the lower area of the engine compartment. Position a drain pan underneath and proceed to remove the plug using a 15 mm wrench. Allow all the used oil to drain out, and then immediately reinstall the plug. Next, remove and replace the oil filter. Finally, return to the engine compartment and unscrew the oil fill cap. Pour in the new oil and screw the cap back on.
