To replace the rear headlight bulb on a GMC Canyon, lower the tailgate to access the screws on the side of the headlight. Once these screws are loosened, pull the headlight out of its housing by disconnecting the connector at the back.

At this point, remove the old bulb from its socket and replace it with a new one. After installing the bulb, reconnect the headlight and secure it in place with the bolts.
