How to Reset the Oil Service Light on a GMC Canyon?

After changing the oil and filter on the GMC Canyon, you need to manually reset the oil life and the light on the dashboard. This tutorial shows you how to proceed. Start by inserting the key and turning on the ignition; you don’t need to start the engine. Next, navigate to the oil life screen by repeatedly pressing the button located under the speedometer. Once you do this, press and hold the same button for about 3 seconds, or until you hear a series of chimes. To verify that the operation was successful, restart the vehicle.
