The fuse for the cigarette lighter socket of the 2004 GMC Sierra is located inside the fuse box in the front hood, specifically near the battery. The fuse in question is a blue 15 Amp fuse labeled "ACCENDISIGARI" on the diagram. To replace the fuse, we need to remove the faulty fuse with a pair of pliers and then insert the new fuse with the same amperage and voltage, which in this case is 12 Volts. Do not insert a fuse with a different amperage as this could damage the socket with a short circuit.
