To reset the Service light on a Holden Captiva, enter the cabin and press the accelerator pedal down while the instrument cluster is off. While holding the pedal down, insert the ignition key into the ignition switch and turn it to the ON position to power the instrument cluster.

Once the cluster is on, wait a few seconds for all the lights to turn off. The Service light will turn off last, after about ten seconds; once it is reset, you can release the pedal and turn off the ignition.
