Oil and Filter Change on a Honda CR-V

In this video, you will see how to change the oil and filter on a Honda HR-V from 2023 onwards. Start by removing the lower engine cover, then unscrew the 17 mm plug, and replace the copper washer. Remove the oil filter with the appropriate tool, clean the seat, lubricate the gasket of the new filter with clean oil, and screw it on by hand for a quarter turn. Fill with approximately 4 litres of 8w20 oil: check the level and then turn on the ignition to fill the filter and check the level again, topping up if necessary. Then reset the warning light from the maintenance menu by simply holding down until prompted to reset, and confirm.
