Engine Cooling Radiator Replacement

Model: Honda Civic MK 5 - Years 1992-1995

Open the expansion tank cap and place a container under the radiator to collect the coolant. Open the lower tap and let the coolant drain into the container. Disconnect the retaining springs at the bottom of the expansion tank and remove it from its housing. Remove the two side screws from the fan support, the electrical wiring connector, and use two wrenches to loosen the retaining nut for removal. Unscrew the hose clamps on the water inlet to the radiator and remove it. Also disconnect all return hoses. Unscrew the radiator retaining screws and remove it by pulling upwards. Clean the radiator compartment of dirt. Install the new radiator, the expansion tank, and reconnect all hoses. Refit the fan and air filter. Top up with the appropriate coolant. Start the engine, open the air bleed valve until coolant flows out to eliminate any air bubbles, and check for leaks.
