How to Reset the Service Light on a Honda Civic

Model: Honda Civic MK 8 - Years 2006-2012

To reset the service light on a Honda Civic, get into the car and insert the key into the ignition. Turn on the ignition without starting the engine. Press the SELECT/RESET button on the dashboard until the maintenance screen with the letter or service code appears. Turn off the ignition again. Turn it back on while holding the SELECT/RESET button for about 10 seconds until the indication starts to flash. Release and press the button again for another 5–10 seconds until the service is reset. Turn off the ignition and restart the car to check that the maintenance light is no longer present.
