This video dedicated to Honda's CR-V suv illustrates the procedure for mounting the original towbar. Medium difficulty work takes about an hour and a half. In this case, the advantage of installing an original accessory and not one from a generic manufacturer consists in the fact that the car already has the prearrangements for the electrical system and therefore it is not necessary to cut and splice any electrical cable, just attach the connectors. To install the hook it is necessary to remove the rear bumper and the left-hand side trims of the luggage compartment and passenger compartment. Let's start with the bumper. The bumper is fixed with 4 visible bolts, two dowels at the bottom plus a series of clips on the sides. We remove the upholstery on the left side of the trunk and passenger compartment and the lower panel of the dashboard on the driver's side. If possible, lift the car on the bridge and unhook the muffler terminal. Place the towbar in place and secure it with the bolts supplied. Lay the wire along the path provided by the manufacturer, fixing it with the cable glands. Fasten the light control unit to the left side and connect it. Bring the wiring up to the fuse box, connect the connectors and insert the 5 A fuse in the position provided by the manufacturer. Check that everything is working properly and reassemble.
