Installing a Rear Spoiler

First, open the tailgate until it is securely held open. Using a plastic bodywork spatula, detach the plastic trim along the upper edge of the bonnet, unscrew the fixing screws of the third brake light, and remove it by releasing the retaining clips. Then, use the appropriate drilling templates to mark the points for the spoiler fixing holes, and protect the area of the third brake light with masking tape to prevent debris from entering. Punch the marked points and drill the holes with progressively larger bits: apply anti-rust treatment around the edges of the holes. Next, insert the spoiler fixing clips into the newly drilled holes, apply the gasket around the holes and the area of the third brake light: the latter should be installed on the spoiler. Finally, position and secure the spoiler by applying the caps at the fixing points.

How to Open the Bonnet on the Lancia Y
