Replacing Fuel Pump Motor

Model: Honda CR-V MK 1 - Years 1995-2001

If you do not hear the typical whine of the fuel pump coming from under the rear seat when turning on the ignition and the car does not start, it is very likely that the motor of the submerged pump in the tank has burned out: fortunately, it is possible to purchase an aftermarket repair kit that includes only the motor. Obviously, you need to extract the pump from the tank: first, lift the rear seat cushion, remove the sound-absorbing cover and the subframe. Then unscrew the fixing screws of the pump cover flange, disconnect the power connector and the outlet and return pipes. Finally, remove the nuts securing the pump to the tank and extract it complete with the float: detach the filter from the pump's intake and proceed with the motor replacement. Finally, reinstall the pump in the tank.
