How to replace the oil filter and engine oil on Honda HR-V

In this video tutorial, see how to replace the oil filter and engine oil on the Honda HR-V. The first step is to purchase a new oil filter and a 5-litre bottle of Castrol 0W-20 oil. Lift the car with a mobile lift or hydraulic jack and place safety stands under the vehicle. Position a container for the used oil under the oil sump; unscrew the oil drain plug with a 17 mm spanner, waiting for all the oil to drain into the container. Meanwhile, check the plug for defects and replace it with a new one, also changing the washer. Once all the oil has drained, reposition the oil plug without overtightening (a quarter turn). Now, use a spanner to remove the oil filter by turning it counterclockwise, check the seal and replace it if necessary. Lubricate the seal and reinstall the filter in its housing. Now lower the car and top up the engine oil using a funnel; check the level with the appropriate dipstick.
