Replacement of Engine Oil and Oil Filter

Model: Hyundai Sonata - Years 2004-2014

Lift the vehicle on suitable car ramps to facilitate access to the oil sump. The lower splash guard is equipped with specific openings to access the oil drain plug and the filter: position a suitable container under the plug and drain the used oil; once drained, tighten the plug after replacing the washer. Next, proceed to remove the filter using the appropriate socket tool (some oil may spill during removal); then apply the new filter after coating the rubber seal with oil (do not exceed the specified torque for the filter). Finally, refill the engine with new oil according to the SAE specifications and the quantities indicated in the owner's manual.
