Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement

Model: Hyundai Sonata - Years 2004-2014

If possible, lift the vehicle on a lift or on suitable car ramps to facilitate access to the underside of the vehicle. Then, remove the plastic cap to access the oil sump drain; unscrew the drain plug, complete the draining, and retighten the plug, repositioning the plastic cover. Still from underneath, unscrew the oil filter (it is located slightly further forward than the oil sump) and apply the new one after coating the seal with oil (hand-tightening is sufficient).
Finally, fill the engine with new oil according to the SAE specifications and the quantities indicated in the user manual; check the level using the dipstick.
