Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement

Model: Hyundai Sonata - Years 2004-2014

The oil filter is of the cartridge type and is located on the right-hand side of the engine (when viewed from the front), near the hose connecting the air filter box to the intake manifold. Unscrew the cap of the container and remove the old cartridge; then place a suitable container under the oil sump and unscrew the drain plug; once the used oil has drained, re-tighten the plug. Next, apply the new filter cartridge and replace the series of O-rings that are always included in the new filter packaging, lubricate them with oil and re-tighten the cap with the new cartridge. Finally, fill the engine with new oil according to the quantities and SAE specifications indicated in the user and maintenance manual.
