Hyundai Sonata - Video tutorial

Model: Hyundai Sonata - Years 2004-2014
Part: Oil filter
Operation: Engine oil and oil filter replacement

The oil filter is a cartridge type and is located in the center right of the engine (when viewed from the front), near the sleeve that connects the air cleaner housing to the intake manifold. Therefore unscrew the cap of the container and remove the old cartridge; then place a pan of suitable capacity under the oil pan and unscrew the drain plug; once the exhausted oil has been emptied, screw the cap back on. Then apply the new filter cartridge and replace the set of o-rings always present in the packaging of the new filter, sprinkle them with oil and screw the cap back on with the new cartridge. Finally fill the engine with new oil according to the quantities and SAE specifications indicated in the use and maintenance manual.
