Cleaning and Lubricating Brake Caliper

Model: Hyundai Elantra MK 4, HD - Years 2006-2010

Before lifting the vehicle, loosen the wheel fastening bolts. Then, lift the vehicle and place it on suitable axle stands to complete the wheel removal. Next, unscrew the bolts securing the brake caliper to its bracket and remove both the caliper and the old brake pads. Apply copper grease to the back of the pads, the sliding plates, the caliper piston, and the caliper fastening bolts. Compress the piston using a pair of pliers and proceed with reassembly in reverse order.
