Replacement of Front Brake Pads

Model: Hyundai Elantra MK 4, HD - Years 2006-2010

Lift the vehicle on a hydraulic lift and remove the front wheel; then unscrew the retaining pins of the brake caliper located at the rear and remove it from its seat; take out the old pads (you can do this without a hammer) and insert the new ones, applying copper grease to the outer surface of the pads, on the piston, and on the caliper retaining pins; retract the caliper piston using a clamp or adjustable pliers instead of levering with a screwdriver, and tighten the retaining pins again. Pump the brake pedal until it offers the correct resistance.
