Rear Hub Bearing Replacement

Model: Hyundai Santa Fe MK 1 - Years 2000-2006

The new rear hub bearing is sold complete with flange and studs for wheel mounting: to replace it, you will need to extract the entire assembly, not just the bearing. Lift the vehicle and remove the rear wheel, the brake caliper complete with support, the disc (which is also a drum for the handbrake), and the shoes. Remove the cap at the centre of the hub, unscrew the underlying nut with a pneumatic gun, and extract the flange complete with bearing; clean the bearing seat and proceed in reverse for the installation of the new kit, starting with a new set of shoes and then applying the new flange, ensuring to deform the locking nut to prevent it from loosening accidentally.
