Instructions for Disassembling Front Shock Absorbers

Model: Hyundai Santa Fe MK 2 - Years 2006-2012

To replace the front shock absorber, lift the vehicle on a hoist and remove the front wheel. Then, disconnect the link that connects the shock absorber to the stabiliser bar, unscrew the fixing bolts of the shock absorber to the hub support, and remove them to extract the support from the shock absorber. Access the engine bay to unscrew the fixing bolts of the shock absorber support to the body strut and remove the shock absorber completely from its housing. At this point, you will need special clamps to compress the spring and complete the disassembly.
