Front Shock Absorber Replacement

Model: Hyundai Accent MK 1, LC - Years 1999-2005

Lift the vehicle on suitable axle stands and remove the front wheel; then proceed to unscrew the mounting bolts of the shock absorber from the hub support, generously lubricating the joint with penetrating spray to ease the operation; next, unscrew the shock absorber support at the top in the engine bay and complete the removal of the shock absorber itself; then apply clamps to the spring to compress it and remove the support from the shock absorber shaft; insert the dust cover into the new shock absorber, the rubber plate where the spring rests, and then the spring itself; secure the upper support to the shaft and release the spring; reverse the process for installation back onto the vehicle.
