Replacing a Car Suspension Arm

Model: Hyundai Elantra XD, MK 3 - Years 2000-2006

The suspension arm of the car connects the chassis to the struts. If it bends, breaks, or wears out, it will need to be replaced, as a faulty arm can lead to dangerous handling of the car. If you are doing this yourself, it is not a complicated job. Once you have identified the arm to be replaced, raise the car. If there is a hubcap, remove it, then unscrew all the bolts with the appropriate spanner and finally remove the wheel from the hub. Use spanners to detach the stabiliser link and the joint. Once this is done, the arm will be in front of you, ready to be extracted.
