How to Replace the Timing Belt on a Jaguar XF

Model: Jaguar Xf MK 1 - Years 2008-2015

Before starting, open the bonnet of your Jaguar XF. Begin by removing the engine cover. Next, disassemble and remove the entire air filter assembly and the cooling hoses located at the front of the engine. After that, loosen the tensioner to remove the auxiliary belt. Once these components are removed, take out the water pump by unscrewing the relevant bolts. At this point, you can remove the timing belt cover to access it. Align the camshaft sprockets and mark the correct position. After doing this, loosen the corresponding tensioner. This will allow you to remove the timing belt, completing the disassembly. To install the new belt and reassemble everything, simply reverse these steps, and you will have completed the replacement.
