Jaguar Xf - Video tutorial
Model: Jaguar Xf
MK 2, X260
- Years 2015-2023 In this video, we see how to change the timing belt on a Jaguar XF: we need to remove the engine cover and remove the front turbo pipe. The auxiliary belt and tensioner are now accessible. Release the tension of the belt and detach it. Once the lower engine cover is removed, we can mark the crankshaft and lock the crankshaft to loosen the 22mm bolt on the pulley cover. Mark the crankshaft pulley as a reference and remove the lower pulley. The pulley fixing device will be tight; remove the two 10mm screws and the lower cover will lift. Mark the fan belt and the rear plate pulley belt. The teeth should be facing up on the belt. Mark the bottom to the engine, and the belt to the pulley, as shown in the video. Release the tensioner and unwind the old belt, which can be removed. In the video, we can clearly see the reference marks we left; it is recommended to change the water pump on this occasion. Now the new belt and tensioner can be installed; the latter should be left slightly loose. Duplicate the marks on the new belt and reassemble the various pieces, rotating counterclockwise, and recovering the slack during the run, then tightening with the hex key to remove the pin. Observe the alignment of the pointer once aligned. At this point, tighten the tensioner. Now turn the crankshaft at full speed and check the timing marks. Check that the belt is correctly tensioned.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHow to open the bonnet of the Volkswagen PoloLet's see in this short and simple guide the instructions that will allow us to open the bonnet of the Volkswagen Polo. First of all we open the front door, on the driver's side, and start pulling the opening lever of the engine hood, in order to open the lock; then let's move to the front of the vehicle and unhook the tab that we find on the central part, above the manufacturer's emblem, as shown in the video. At this point we block the bonnet with the lateral rod; then we accompany the bonnet down to close it again! by ScegliAuto More videos
