How to Replace the Key/Remote Battery on a Jeep Compass

Replacing the battery in the key/remote for the Jeep Compass is a fairly simple task. Take the key/remote and first, extract the actual metal key from the plastic body. To do this, operate the small mechanism that unlocks it and allows you to pull it out. Once done, use the same key to lever open the entire key/remote body at the same hole. This gives you access to the battery, which you can remove and replace with a new one. Finally, close the key body and reinsert the metal key into its slot. And that's it!
