How do you change the battery in the remote control key on a Jeep Renegade? We take our remote control and press the release button of the metal key; we go with the help of a screwdriver to pry between the key cover and the cover where the battery is housed. We pry until the plastic cap separates from the key cover; we extract the worn battery with a small screwdriver (let's take a new one of the same size and voltage). At the end of the replacement, press the cover cap on the key case until you hear the locking click. We check the exact functioning of the remote control by operating the buttons on the doors.
