Replacing Brake Pads on a Jeep Cherokee

Are the brake pads due for replacement? Let's see how to remove them from the front brakes of a Jeep Cherokee. Lift the vehicle with a column lift (jack) to the desired height, then remove the wheel with the respective bolts. Unscrew the locking pin of the brake caliper and remove it from the wheel hub. Using a screwdriver, detach the pads to be replaced from the caliper, and remove the brake caliper (lever it off with the screwdriver). Fit the new pads onto the caliper. Tighten all the bolts and refit the wheel. Replace the pads on the other calipers.
