To replace the front brake pads on the Jeep Cherokee, lift the car with a jack so that the corresponding wheel is not in contact with the ground. This will allow you to loosen all the bolts securing the wheel, completely removing it to access the underlying components.

Here, you will need to loosen the bolts securing the brake caliper to the disc, extracting the old pads inside. This will allow you to insert the new pads, remounting the previously removed wheel.
