If the oil change warning light on your Jeep Wrangler comes on, don't worry, you can change the oil yourself by following our guide. You will need a wide-mouthed container to collect the used oil, and position it under the engine. Unscrew the oil sump plug and be careful as it will spurt out quickly once removed. After this, you may consider fitting a valve to simplify this action next time, as shown in the video. Refit the lower plug and you can renew the oil from the engine bay; using a funnel, pour it to the correct level and check with the dipstick to ensure there is enough but not too much. The video shows a 2014 model.

How to Check the Oil Level on a Jeep Renegade?

To check the oil level on a Jeep Renegade, you need to open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay: on the lower left side of the engine block, you will find the dipstick for checking the level. This should be pulled out and thoroughly cleaned with a cloth: once cleaned, reinsert it back into its tube and pull it out immediately after. This way, you can check that the oil mark is between the minimum and maximum levels; finally, you can place the dipstick back in its tube.
