Alternator Replacement on a Jeep Compass

Is the alternator broken and needs replacing? Let's look at the alternator replacement on a Jeep Compass. Lift the bonnet and secure it, locate the battery and disconnect the terminals for safety. Remove the splash guard to access the belts (front right wheel), use a socket to remove the bolts and disconnect the alternator belt (taking care not to damage the wiring harness). Remove all the securing bolts of the alternator. Once disassembled, extract the alternator from the engine bay. Fit the new alternator and insert it into the engine bay, tighten the securing bolts. Test the operation of the new alternator.
