Replacing the battery on a Jeep Grand Cherokee? Remove the old battery and install a new one. Open the car door and move the passenger seat forward. Once the front seat is moved, locate the battery to be removed. Disconnect the cover, remove the securing pins of the battery terminals, then take it out from under the seat and replace it with a new one (same voltage). Close the battery compartment after replacement. Start the car with the key and test the battery's functionality. Move the seat back after installation and test.
