Removing Steering Wheel Airbag on Jeep Compass

Model: Jeep Compass 552, MK 2 - Years 2016-2025

The steering wheel airbag is held in place by three metal levers located internally. Disconnecting them and removing the airbag is a very simple task. Under the steering wheel, you will notice a hole: insert a small flat screwdriver into this hole and push the lever present. This will release one of the three clips, and you will see the airbag detach from its housing. At this point, to release the airbag from the other clips, simply slide it out. Disconnect the cables, and you're done. Proceed in reverse order for reassembly. As you can see, this operation is within everyone's reach.
